Most frequently asked questions about Orthodoxy from other Christians ?
As a practicing Lutheran and confessional Protestant, and one who reads and respects Orthodoxy, there are some deep theological issues that I am struggling with.
But I am curious, to know what are the most often asked questions by outsiders about the Orthodox faith and worship ?
The ones I have heard:
* Why do they worship icons and people painted (idols) ?
* Why do they worship Mary, mother of Jesus ?
* Why do they have incense in the church during worship ?
* What significance do the candles have ?

There are certainly a lot of questions about the Orthodoxy from someone looking from outside but I'm probably not the right person to give an answer to this question. I personally talked with many people new to Orthodoxy but I can't compile a "top ten" list for example. The questions you've posted are probably in the top ten but I'm not completely sure.
As you know I was born Christian Orthodox and I didn't have to ask these questions the way someone who is not Orthodox would ask. This doesn't mean I didn't ask the questions but my questions spread over time whereas somebody new to Orthodoxy would have a higher concentration of questions in a shorter time.
To answer your question the best would probably be to bring to this discussion people who came to Orthodoxy from other Christian denominations and/or brig the the Orthodox Fathers (the Orthodox Pastors).

i don' worship icons or painted but we orthodox love our tradition and hey way of worship remeber taht GOD never live in house but he ask to build a house for his worshiper and jesus say this is my father house. and GOD ask to moses to build angels icons with his 10 laws stone and we believe that we don't worship them but to have them is in our church means that we feel good to look beutiful our church

ya we love mary so much but remeber we worship only GOD that is they father, son,holyspirt. one GOD but thank mary so much and we loved her so much if mary not born and became holy. who take her place. they angel tould mary in gospel luke you blessing by all of nations
